1. Program Description
The Qoptars Drone Engineering Workshop is a 5-day, hands-on training program conducted at IIT Hyderabad by Qoptars Private Limited. It is not an academic degree, diploma, or formal engineering qualification. The certificate issued upon completion is a training certificate from Qoptars Private Limited only.
2. Eligibility
- Participants must be 18 years or older at the time of the workshop.
- Participants under 18 are permitted only with a signed parental or legal guardian consent form submitted before seat confirmation.
- No prior drone, electronics, or engineering experience is required.
3. Payment
- Fee: ₹19,950 per participant (or early-bird rate where applicable).
- Payment is processed via Razorpay in INR.
- A seat is confirmed only upon successful payment.
- GST is applicable as per prevailing rates.
4. Refund & Cancellation Policy
Joining the waitlist is free and carries no payment obligation.
- Cancellation 14+ days before July 10, 2026: full refund issued.
- Cancellation within 14 days of July 10, 2026: no refund. The seat is transferable to another eligible individual at no additional charge.
- Qoptars reserves the right to cancel the workshop due to unforeseen circumstances (force majeure, regulatory restrictions, etc.), in which case a full refund will be issued to all registered participants.
5. Drone Ownership
The drone designed and assembled during the workshop remains the property of Qoptars Private Limited upon program completion. It is used as a production or research asset in Qoptars' operations. Participants take home the skills, training, and credentials — not the hardware.
6. Accommodation & Meals
- Shared accommodation at the IIT Hyderabad International Guest House for 5 nights (July 10–14, 2026) is included in the fee.
- Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included each day of the workshop.
- Travel to and from IIT Hyderabad campus is the participant's sole responsibility and is not included in the fee.
- Dietary restrictions can be noted at registration; accommodation is subject to availability.
7. Training Certificate
- Issued by Qoptars Private Limited on Day 5 of the workshop.
- Requires satisfactory attendance and participation throughout the 5-day program.
- This is a training certificate only — it is not equivalent to a university degree, a DGCA-issued license, or any government-issued qualification.
8. Letter of Recommendation (LOR)
- Issued only to top performers across the training week and the subsequent 1-month internship.
- Strictly performance-based; it is not guaranteed to all participants.
- Issuance is at the sole discretion of Qoptars leadership; there is no formal appeals process.
9. Internship
- A 1-month remote internship on a live Qoptars project follows the in-person workshop.
- Approximately 10–15 hours per week; participants will receive a separate internship agreement.
- The internship is not formal employment and does not carry employment benefits or financial compensation.
- An internship certificate is issued upon successful completion.
10. Safety & Conduct
- A mandatory safety briefing is conducted before all soldering and flight activities.
- Participants must follow all instructor safety instructions at all times.
- Misuse of equipment, unsafe behaviour, or violation of the code of conduct may result in immediate removal from the workshop without refund.
- Qoptars Private Limited is not liable for personal injury resulting from a participant's failure to follow safety protocols.
- Qoptars may photograph and/or video record the workshop for internal records, marketing, and promotional use.
- Participants who do not consent to being photographed or filmed must notify Qoptars in writing before Day 1.
- Participants may not publish drone flight footage captured during the workshop without prior written approval from Qoptars.
12. DGCA Compliance
- All outdoor flight activities are conducted by trained Qoptars instructors in compliance with DGCA (Directorate General of Civil Aviation) regulations.
- Participants may not operate drones independently during or after the workshop without their own valid DGCA authorisation.
- Qoptars is not responsible for regulatory violations by participants outside of the supervised workshop environment.
13. Intellectual Property
- All workshop content, curriculum materials, presentations, and documentation are proprietary to Qoptars Private Limited.
- Participants may not reproduce, distribute, or publish workshop materials without written consent from Qoptars.
- Project work and designs created during the workshop may be used by Qoptars for research, production, or promotional purposes.
14. Modifications
Qoptars reserves the right to modify the curriculum, instructors, schedule, or venue subject to reasonable prior notice to registered participants. In the event of significant changes (e.g., a date shift or venue change), participants will be notified promptly and offered a full refund if they choose not to attend under the modified terms.
15. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of India. Any disputes arising from or related to these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Hyderabad, Telangana.
