What this actually is

What this is.
And what it isn't.

Engineering students, makers, and drone enthusiasts — no prior drone-building experience required.
01
Not a lecture series
You do
the work.

Nobody demonstrates while you watch. You solder every joint, wire every ESC, and configure ArduPilot from scratch — 30 hours of actual lab work across 5 days. On Day 5 you take it outdoors and fly what you built.

⚙️ 30 hrs hands-on
02
Not a rented conference room
IIT Hyderabad.
Real labs.

Research-grade soldering stations, Mission Planner workstations, Fusion CAD setups, and an outdoor flight field — all on campus. You check in to the International Guest House on Day 1 and live there for 5 days.

Not a participation trophy
A credential
with weight.

The certificate comes from a defence drone manufacturer. The internship is a live project — agriculture mapping or aerial inspection — with real deliverables. The LOR is earned by top performers only, which is exactly what makes it mean something.

What you build

A real drone.
Every step.
You fly it.

You don't watch someone build it — you build it. Design the frame in CAD. Pick every component. Solder every joint. Configure ArduPilot from scratch. Then take it outdoors and fly what you made with your own hands.

CAD
Design it in Autodesk Fusion before you touch a single part
Build
Solder, wire, and assemble every component yourself
Config
Flash ArduPilot, calibrate sensors, set failsafes — all you
Fly

What you walk away with

You leave with
all of this.

01
🏗️
You build a real drone
Not a kit. Not a demo. You design, solder, wire, and assemble an actual FPV drone from scratch — every component touched by your hands.
02
✈️
You fly it outdoors
Day 5 you take your drone to the outdoor field and fly it — Stabilize, AltHold, GPS Loiter. Real flight. Real sky. Your build.
03
🏛️
You live on an IIT campus
5 days in the IIT Hyderabad International Guest House. Explore the campus like an IITian. Learn from real industry veterans — not YouTube videos.
04
🎓
Training certificate
Issued by Qoptars Private Limited on Day 5. A certificate from a defence drone manufacturer — not a generic online course provider.

1-month internship*
A real Qoptars project — agriculture mapping, aerial inspection, or surveying. Cross-college team. Industry mentor. Internship certificate.
06
📝
Letter of recommendation*
For top performers only — written by Qoptars leadership. Performance-based, not participation-based. That's why it carries weight.

No — the drone stays with Qoptars as a production asset used in real industrial operations. You're building real hardware, not a souvenir. The build experience and skills you take home are far more valuable on a resume.
A 1-month remote internship* on a real Qoptars project — agriculture mapping, aerial inspection, or site surveying. You're in a cross-college team of 4–5 with a dedicated industry mentor. Roughly 10–15 hours per week with weekly deliverables and a final demo day.
Top performers across both the training week and internship month. Strictly performance-based — not guaranteed* — which is exactly what makes it carry real weight with employers.
